The Full Story
I am excited about science and am here to share my passion for it with you! The surrounding world has always fascinated me, especially the part covered in salt water. Originally, I planned on working as a marine biologist and pursued a degree in marine biology at California State University, Long Beach. When I finished my bachelor's degree, I continued on to a master's. I began teaching lab courses during graduate school and fell in love with science education. I completely shifted my career focus to become an educator, while drawing from my experiences in the field and lab. With a decade of teaching experience at both the high school and college levels, I have gained a thorough understanding of an array of science topics. However, I wanted to reach learners beyond the constraints of a formal education setting, and gain the freedom to create non-traditional courses and classes for all who are motivated to learn. That was how this site was born! Anyone can be a scientist, you just need to be curious about the world around you!

Teaching Philosophy
Science surrounds us and is part of our everyday lives, and it is the responsibility of the science instructor to help students forge connections. Science should always be engaging and presented in a way that is accessible for all learners.

Vision
To provide quality science education and to give anyone with a curious mind the opportunity to further their science knowledge.
